About Order of the Ashla

Order of the Ashla

"It is simple enough to know the light. A Jedi must feel the tension between the two sides of the Force; in himself and in the universe."

These words were spoken by the ancient Master Thon, were from the heart and they revealed the connection all Jedi must have with the Force to truly understand how the Force influences our every action and our destinies.

Greetings and Welcome to the Order of the Ashla. We are a guild/clan for the upcoming game of "Star Wars the Old Republic", who follows the ways of the order of that time, but we are a bit more leaned back. We are a rppvp clan, who strives to keep to the ways of the original Jedi order. We will consist of 12 Council members: Five permanent; who accepted a lifetime commitment to it, four long-term members served until they chose to step down, and the limited-term members sat on the council for specified terms. This Council is the governing force who, over see the order. Everyone who joins the order, will begin as a youngling, and work their way up the ranks. Every Master will have a padawan, who when they feel is ready, will take trial's to become a knight. Any member who wishes to be apart of the Council, must first have the rank of master, which the Council will vote on, and then you must be invited to join the Council, by the members. We look forward to getting to know and working with you. Welcome and May the Force be with you all. Our guild Creed The peace and justice of the Galaxy will be guarded, and all life in any form is and will be respected.

For my ally is the Force, and I use its powers to serve and protect the innocent from evil. I seek goodness, and defend it from the Dark Side. I have dedicated my life to the Truth, I am the Light - I am Jedi

1. Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.

2. Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others.

3. Jedi respect all life, in any form.

4. Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.

5. Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.

Code of Conduct

1. Do not disgrace the order in any way

2. Treat everyone with dignity

3. A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack. Your lightsaber cannot solve problems, only prevent them. Seek peaceful solutions.

4. A Jedi uses the Force to serve the Galaxy and its people. Helping them and protecting them from harm.

5. We do not seek power, fame, or fortune. A Jedi is concerned about the welfare of others, rather than personal gains, benefits, feelings or interests. Sometimes, wealth or power is needed to achieve the Jedi's goals. Money is required for the purchase of goods; power is required to obtain the help of others. To achieve one's goals, a Jedi may obtain wealth or power, but is never interested in it for its own sake.

6. A Jedi does not crave adventure or excitement.

7. Be mindful about your feelings. Fear, anger, aggression.. they all lead to the Dark Side and the Dark side leads to destruction. Fear leads to anger.. anger leads to hate.. hate leads to suffering. Suffering for yourself and those around you.. and eventually, the rest of the Galaxy.

8. Beware of the Dark Side. It is tempting and hard to see. It is quick and easy at first, but it is a trap. Once you start down the Dark path, It will dominate your destiny forever. For the Light Side, you need patience.

9. A Jedi seeks knowledge through the training of spirit and mind.

10. A Jedi must have a calm and peaceful mind. To use the Force, the Jedi must remain at harmony with it. To act in dissonance depletes one's power. Don't center on your anxiety. Keep your concentration here and now where it belongs.

11. Killing is wrong. When you kill, you commit a crime against the Force. Though you may know that you do so for the greater good, and the greater good justifies your act, you must also know that the death remains as a stain upon your spirit. To kill is wrong. Yet it is sometimes necessary to kill. The Jedi may kill in self defense or the defense of others. You may only kill if by doing so, life is preserved. Never kill a sentient unless it is a last resort. The Galactic Civil War is an exception.

"A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack."
